To ensure that prescribers' registration goes smoothly, there are several tasks that an Admin needs to confirm are completed in eCR first.
Be sure all users who need it have the Access Level Permission to the NewCrop Registration Form.
-
Administration > Access Levels > 2nd User tab > Setup > NewCrop Registration Form > Save.
The prescriber's DEA number needs to be entered in their user profile in the correct format.
- Go to the prescriber's user profile > Contact/Provider Info tab.
- In the DEA No field, ensure the DEA number is entered in the correct format:
- 2 alpha characters first followed by 7 numeric characters, no dashes, dots or spaces.
- The 2 alpha characters are always in all caps.
- EXAMPLE: AB1234567
NOTE: eCR will alert you when you've entered 9 characters in the DEA number field. This is okay! This field has a maximum character length of 9, so entering 9 characters will give you a warning. This does NOT mean that something is wrong.
- Do not enter their XDEA number in this field.
- Their XDEA number will be added directly into NewCrop.
The prescriber's Individual NPI number needs to be entered in their user profile in the correct format.
NOTE: This cannot be a Group NPI number. It must be the provider's Individual NPI number.
- Go to the prescriber's user profile > Contact/Provider Info tab.
- In the NPI field, ensure the NPI number is entered in the correct format:
- 10 numeric characters, no dashes, dots or spaces.
The prescriber's license state needs to be selected in their user profile.
- Go to the prescriber's user profile > User tab.
- Under ePrescribing, select the prescriber's License State from the drop-down menu.
- The prescriber's License No is optional.
All Locations need to have complete information.
- Go to Administration > Facilities.
- Locate the location in the table and click to highlight.
- The location's details will populate at the top. Confirm the following information is entered:
- Address
- Phone number
- Fax number
Your Agency's information in Clinic Defaults needs to be complete and accurate.
When the prescriber goes to Setup > NewCrop Registration > Validate Account, this information will display. If it is inaccurate, the prescriber can go to Clinic Defaults to correct it, but if it's confirmed to be correct prior to registration, the process will go that much faster.
