You’ll also receive EPCS (Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances), PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) Access & DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) audits, prior authorization processing, and pharmacogenomic support. These features are in addition to the award-winning prescription accuracy and tailored innovation you’ve come to expect from Therapy Brands’ products.
We encourage you to read the following NewCrop ePrescribing FAQs to learn more. Additionally, be on the lookout for further communication with additional information and resources in the coming months.

Q: I have already paid for the year with Dr. First. How will that money be handled?
A: You will not have a new payment due until the end of your current Dr. First subscription period. For example, if you are billed annually and your Dr. First subscription is due on September 1, 2022, currently then your next/first payment for NewCrop e-prescribing will take place on September 1, 2022.
Q: Will there be any change in costs?
A: No. You will continue paying your current contracted rate for e-prescribe, EPCS (Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances), and PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) services during and after this transition. We will not charge customers any extra fees related to migration or initial setup of the NewCrop solution. Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible, both from the perspective of your bottom line and your ability to treat your patients.
Q: Can I stay with Dr. First?
A: No. Dr. First will no longer be an integrated option once the NewCrop integration is live. Any competitive solution will only be available as a stand-alone option, which means e-prescribing data and EHR (Electronic Health Record) data would not be synchronized, and workflows would be disrupted having to jump between applications. The NewCrop integrated solution will serve our customers’ needs and help them have a comprehensive solution including a sole source of support with Therapy Brands offerings.
Q: Does every Provider need to re-register?
A: Yes, due to the compliance requirements of SureScripts, each Provider will need to re-register and provide identification. Therapy Brands will provide a simple, easy-to-use registration process weeks before the transition, to ensure an efficient transition.
Q: Do we expect there to be any disruption of service?
A: We do not expect disruptions. Integration customers will need to go through a migration process to the NewCrop integration once live. There will not be disruptions to utilizing e-prescribe functionality within the platform.
Q: Will all information from Dr. First be integrated into the new e-prescribe solution? For example, will the client's past history of medications/refills, etc be transferred?
A: Yes! We will be able to transfer information such as Allergies and Active Medications.
Pharmacies will need to be added manually into NewCrop. You will need to resetup your Favorites and create Drug Sets for standing orders if you choose to use those features.
Q: Who will I work with when I have questions?
A: One of the benefits of the integrated solution is providing Therapy Brands’ customers a sole source of support with Therapy Brands' offerings. Your dedicated support team at your EHR will be your primary support resource during the transition and beyond.

Q: Do I have to use both the soft and hard token?
A: You will be able to use either token when sending controlled substances. Essentially having a hard and soft token gives you a back up in case something happens to your phone, you lose access to the app or you lose the hard token. In that case you will be able to continue to prescribe controlled substances with the other token.
Q:What does it mean when it asks for a State Issued ID?
A: You can use either your Driver’s License or your Passport when asked for a State Issued ID.
Q: What does NPI Certificate mean? We don't have a certificate.
A: We only need your NPI Number and proof of its Status. In lieu of a certificate, you can go to the NPPES site and screenshot your status and the information listed just above it. Be sure the image includes your Name, NPI, Certification Date and Status.
Q: What if I only have an online verision (no physical copy) of my Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing License?
A: No problem! You can take a screenshot of your online verified license and upload that during the registration process.
General
Q: Does NewCrop have the ability for a prescriber to create a new prescription but not send on to the pharmacy?
A: Yes! You can print off the script or leave that script as "pending".
Q: Are there Favorites in NewCrop?
A: There are Favorites in NewCrop, they can be used for things like Standing Orders, etc. While your current Favorites will not move into NewCrop, you can easily recreate them using these instructions.
Q: In the event of an eCR outage, will providers have direct access to NewCrop so that medication prescribing is not interrupted? And once eCR is back online, will the medications prescribed during the outage automatically get sent over to eCR?
A: We do have the ability for prescribers to log in directly to their accounts via a URL, should eCR go offline. Once a patient's chart is opened, medications are updated at that time. Automatically pushing any new data entered into NewCrop during an outage back into eCR once it is back online is something that is being explored as a Phase II enhancement.
