Diagnosis (ICD 10) Codes - Diagnosis Program Category Manager (TenEleven)

The Diagnosis Program Category Manager allows you to exclude diagnosis codes from being selectable as the Primary Diagnosis for the given Program Diagnosis Category.

Exclude a Diagnosis Code from being Primary

  1. Go to Administration > ICD 10/ DSM 5 > Open Diagnosis Managers > By Program Category Manager.
  2. Select from the drop-down menu the Program Diagnosis Category in which a diagnosis code will be excluded from being the Primary Diagnosis in that Program Category.

  3. Search for the diagnosis code you wish to exclude by name.
    • As you begin typing the name of the code, the codes in the Diagnosis Not Excluded list will get smaller.
    • Select Search by Code to search for the diagnosis code by number rather than by name.
  4. Select the Diagnosis Code you wish to exclude by left-clicking on the diagnosis code in the list.
    • The selected code’s row will highlight blue.
    • To select multiple codes at once, hold the CTRL-key and select each code.
    • Click Select All to select all the diagnosis codes in the Diagnoses Not Excluded list.
  5. Click Add Selected once you have selected the diagnosis code(s) you wish to add to the Excluded Primary Diagnoses list for this Program Category.

  6. The diagnosis code(s) will now appear in the Excluded Primary Diagnoses list, signifying these codes are no longer able to be selected as the Primary Diagnosis for the given Program Diagnosis Category.
  7. Click Save.

Removing a Diagnosis Code from the Excluded List

To reverse the above steps and remove a diagnosis from the Excluded Primary Diagnosis list, follow these steps.

  1. Select the Program Diagnosis Category in which a diagnosis code will no longer be excluded from being the Primary Diagnosis in that Program Category.

  2. Select from the drop-down menu the diagnosis code you wish to no longer exclude by left-clicking on the diagnosis code in the list.
    • The selected code’s row will highlight blue.
    • To select multiple codes at once, hold the CTRL-key and select each code.
    • Click Select All to select all the diagnosis codes in the Excluded Primary Diagnoses list.
  3. Click Remove Selected once you have selected the diagnosis code(s) you wish to remove from the Excluded Primary Diagnoses list for this Program Category.

  4. Click Save.
    • You should see Save Successful in the bottom-right corner.
    • The removed diagnosis code(s) will appear in the Diagnoses Not Excluded list once you save.
